A timing chain was rattling . Due to the faulty chain tensioner a one of chains became stretched. We replaced a complete timing chains set and tensioners to prevent any future problems.They should last the life of the engine. This particular Audi A6 3.2 gave us a bit of challenge but this is what we thrive on!
