ŠKODA’s heritage with bicycles dates back to the start of the company in 1895 when the founders Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement joined forces and began manufacturing bicycles in their home town of Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic.
Cycling has remained an important area for us to support over the years – worldwide we are a partner of the famous Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, Tour de Suisse, Tour de Romandie and the Road World Championship organised by the International cycling Federation (UCI).
Here in the UK, we are very excited about our association with two UK teams – Rapha Condor Sharp and Team Raleigh, whilst we are also a key sponsor to the UK’s premier cycling event, the Tour of Britain. We are also involved with high profile amateur and charity events such as HotChillee’s London2Paris 2012 and also the Dallaglio Flintoff 2012 Cycleslam.
